A half-hour time exposure of the Hawaiian night sky reveals the stars and constellations circling Polaris, the North Star, as the Earth turns beneath. Special processing gives the star tracks a comet-like appearance to enhance the effect of the Earth's rotation and add drama to the sky.
I am a travel and art photographer in the Washington DC area, president of the Digital Photography Club of Annapolis and member of the Maryland Federation of Art. My photographic experience stems from a love of travel: I have been to over 50 countries on 6 continents, and try to make photography a central part of my visits. I took my first "serious" photos while living in Hawaii, a place that offers endless opportunities for striking images. Now, as my wife and I globe-trot, I try to capture both a sense of place as well those evocative moments that form our strongest memories.
